The Ryukyusphere
The Ryukyusphere, sometimes known as the Ryukyuverse or simply Ryukyu is a collaborative linguistics-based geofiction project created in 2018. Centered around East Asia, the Ryukyuverse is home to a variety of conlangs having evolved in an alternate history and primarily spoken in the various islands of the Western Pacific Ocean. The focus of the project is to explore East Asian areal linguistics, geopolitics, history and ethnic relations.
