The gwen (Omemi: 圓; symbol: ; code: GWN) is the official currency of Omemi.

Etymology

The name gwen derives from the Omemi word gwen (圓), meaning 'round'. The word is cognate with the currency names of China, Korea, and Japan—Mandarin yuán, Korean won (원/圓), and Japanese en (円). From its independence in 1952 until 1964, the currency name was known in English sources as the Omemi yen.
